Ebert Gustavo Aponte Valdiviezo: Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa is built on the old Casa de la Moneda, a national historic monument built in 1794, which makes our hotel more of a living museum than a hotel. Its strategic location just a few blocks from Arequipa's Plaza de Armas make it the ideal option for business travelers and tourists. It has 40 rooms â 100% non-smoking, including an Imperial Suite and two Senior Suites.

Hugo Andres Gomero Guerra: Very good attention, since I arrived. Very friendly hotel staff. The buffet breakfast service is very good as always. It is always comfortable to stay at Casa Andina.
Tino Basso: The excellent service. Everyone very attentive. The rooms could be better for a 5 â.The precise location.
Manuel Borja: Nice hotel with good location and excellent service!
Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.

The buildings, paintings and objects are of high historical value, pride for the Arequipeños and Peruvians who have visited

Ornella: Molto suggestivo. Un tuffo nel passato. Le guide sono dolcissime e vale assolutamente la pena fare un giro con loro.
Daniela Diazgranados Ortiz: Beautiful place full of stories and culture, the only bad thing was that a guide was not very friendly, so we decided to do the tour without a guide
Senna: A great way to spend a few hours of your day, and an absolute recommendation for Antigua. The monastery is very big, and there are signs in almost every room explaining the significance of certain tools/spaces in English and Spanish. I would say you won't necessarily need a tour if you search for the info signs. The colours are lovely, and it's just beautiful all around. Perfect place to learn some history.Only downside were the prices, they are quite high at 45PEN for an adult.

Tigi Saron Manfroi: This hotel is one of the best and busiest hotels for its location, with enough space and cleanliness. We have traveled to many places, but we have never seen workers as arrogant as the ones that work in this specific hotel. Without Roberto from the reception and José from the restaurant, this hotel would have been the worst place to stay. But I don't want to leave without mentioning the view of the cathedral from that point is impeccable especially at night.
Maria Antonia Palacios Salas: An excellent hotel, the first class attention, the excellent cleanliness and the location in the main square make it a PERFECT HOTEL. The breakfast is very good and varied and the best thing is the view from the balcony of the restaurant đSuoer recommended

Backpack & us: If you like your sleep, donât stay hereIf you want value for your money, donât stay hereIf you want a decent breakfast where the additional milk for your coffee isnât 2/s and you actually eat something decent, donât stay hereThere is a nightclub that blasts music all night everyday until 5h30 am, we stayed in room 21 which is next to the reception, very unprofessional decision to allow guest to stay there as it faces the nightclub. The facilities in the room are neglected, the office chair is broken and the soundproofing is useless. That room is also just behind the reception so you hear the reception bell and nightclub if that isnât enough to turn you down and destroy your night sleep. They provide you ear plugs but they are useless and cheap so you will still hear the noise. We initially booked 5 nights but canceled everything after the first night of no sleep and went somewhere decent. For the price of the night, you can easily find somewhere better and get a good experience of Arequipa.Avoid at all cost

Pame P. V.: If you're wondering where to stay in Arequipa, look no further than Costa del Mar, one of the best hotels in Peru. Conveniently located near the main square, this hotel offers impeccable cleanliness and exceptional comfort. The peaceful and quiet ambiance inside is perfect for a relaxing stay. The hotel boasts extensive green areas, including a courtyard with a more than 100-year-old turtle, adding a unique charm to the property. Additionally, the hotel features a spacious dining room offering delicious meals, and a cozy pub with a variety of options to suit everyone's tastes.
Samson Wong: Probably known as one of the best hotels in Arequipa. The hotel has been around for a while and sits just on the outskirts of the main town. Itâs about a 15 min walk into the main attractions. Although a little dated, the room was comfortable and spacious. Shower was a little weak but fine. Breakfast was a large spread with a lot of options buffet style. They have a large turtle in the grounds too. Staff super friendly! The chap who picked us up from the airport was incredible (Edwin?).

The Alto Selva Alegre district, as its name indicates, is BEHIND the urbanization going up Av. La Marina and was created with that name on purpose of being at the back of the Urbanization, as has been said. Check the information I give you if you don't believe me, you can confuse a passenger and have them taken to the district, which is quite dangerous. The Hotel is in the FENCED. Correct your web page

Neshama Rakofsky: Definitely recommend this tour. We did the tour in English with a fantastic guide named Maria. Super interesting artifacts and the stories are just incredible. Maria was so knowledgeable and welcoming of questions, she is so passionate about the information it's more like listening to a story than to a guided museum tour. The whole thing only takes about 45 mins. I'm not generally a tour OR museum person, but I actually enjoyed this. Great experience
MarĂa Luz MarĂn: I loved the detailed and precise information from the guide. We learned a lot about child sacrifice in ancient Peru and the circumstances in which Juanita was found. A recommendation, the place is kept cold to preserve the archaeological remains and even more so in the section where Juanita is. Bring something to cover yourself with. It is forbidden to take photos or record videos inside the exhibition halls.
Gomez Addams: Only let you enter if you sign up for a guided tour which I was uninterested in. For such a small museum it hardly seems necessary. So, no, Iâll pass.
MarĂa BelĂ©n Chipana: Excellent! 5 national soles, over five years old pay 3 soles for the entrance and voluntary tip to the guide. Everything on display is original and we were lucky to see the Juanita mummy. Can't take photos
mahdy faiz: The museum is small but have one mummy and only few things worth seeing. However, you can only visit with a guide (additional fee on top of the 25 sol entrance). The guided tour feels rushed and you cannot always hear the guide well enough. Not worth the time nor money
Luke Costa: A lot of negative reviews on here regarding the cost etc which almost made us not go. However, we are glad we did.Firstly, the reason it's cheaper for Peruvians is because it's their heritage, and its only right that its cheaper for them.Secondly, we were sceptical about the guide, however it really enhanced the experience. They covered all the areas of information that were written around artefacts and also gave additional info. The tip is at your discretion as well.Would 100% recommend, incredibly interesting and informative.
Pascal Burgard: Expensive relative to the wealth of information provided. I really expected to learn much more in this museum.
Mark Webster: Really disappointing. As mentioned in other reviews itâs compulsory to have a guided tour. When we arrived and were told this we politely asked if we could go around without a guide. The man in the desk immediately ignored us and started talking to another couple behind us. Incredibly rude. Half the tour is a 20min video with terrible sound quality. The guided tour was rushed and ruined the experience.Note that the museum is sponsored by the Catholic university and is therefore biased. We recommend doing some Quechua guided tours to get the real local history before attending.
