Ash K: Had an awesome trip to the Colca Canyon with Jesus and Julio. Jesus is so knowledgable and friendly, we felt instantly in safe hands. The accommodation was lovely - it even had hot showers which we weren’t expecting!The only reason I have given this 4 stars rather than 5 is because for the lunch and dinner on the first day, the only option available was to eat at the hotel, which was fine but it cost 35 soles each. Which isn’t too bad, but if you are a backpacker on a budget - it’s quite steep for both meals! As it is the only food option available, I think it should be included in the price of the tour. Other than that, great trip, thank you so much Julio & Jesus. 😊

Weeble L: We had an exceptional tour with Giardino Tours while in Arequipa and Colca Canyon, thru to Puno. The tour was booked through the tour company so we were not sure what to expect. Both were group tours but the first ended up being just my husband and I and the colca canyon tour only had 5 people. We were lucky enough to have the same guide for both tours. Antonio is amazing. His passion, love, and knowledge of his city and country is infectious. Without Antonio it would have just been another tour. We did many tours in the two weeks we were there and Antonio was the best guide by far. We were disappointed when we had to leave us in Puno.

A guia Olivia foi bastante informativa e simpática. O motorista dirige de forma muito tranquila e não passa dos 80Km/h. Isso realmente deve ser muito valorizado, pois os motoristas peruanos são loucos, agressivos e extremamente imprudentes. Assim, ter um motorista tranquilo é realmente muito tranqulizador.Os horários são um pouco corridos e não se consegue muito aproveitar o Hotel Casa de Mamaychi em Coporaque (que tem uma vista espetacular). Mas isso é compreensível tendo em vista o número de atividades e as distâncias envolvidas.Recomendo muito que fechem com a Giardino. Apesar dos valores as vezes um pouco mais elevados, a qualidade é realmente muito boa.Contras:- Espere gastar mais uma quantia considerável em "extras". As refeições no Hotel não são nada baratas!- Minha noiva fala principalmente espanhol e 90% dos demais turistas só entendiam Inglês. Com isso, percebemos que as explicações em espanhol acabavam sendo mais curtas ou comprometidas em alguns momentos. Portanto, se for falante de espanhol, certifique-se de que o guia falará sua língua. Ou melhor, feche um tour só com falantes de espanhol!

Der Ausflug war super organisiert und unsere Reiseführerin Milagros war einfach nur fantastisch. La prenotazione è stata davvero semplice e la referente dell'agenzia è stata molto disponibile nello spiegarci lo svolgimento dell'attività e fornirci tutte le informazioni relative. Il prezzo è in linea con quello di altri tour operator organizzati per un tour privato (agosto 2022 $45 per persona). Il mattino seguente la nostra guida ci ha raggiunti in hotel insieme ad un autista dedicato. Tutto si è svolto in modo puntuale e la guida ha organizzato gli orari in modo da evitare la folla per avere più tempo a nostra disposizione. Inoltre è stata molto disponibile nel fornirci le informazioni durante la visita e anche alcuni consigli extra sulla città e sulle attività in generale. Abbiamo ricevuto acqua e uno snack durante la mattinata. In generale un buon servizio!
Mary A: I decided to hire a travel agency for Arequipa as this was the first time for my 11 year old daughter in the Andes. Best decision! We felt safe and well taken care from day one. The agency helped us with all the arrangements to make our stay relax and pleasant. In the end it was me the one suffering from altitude sickness but our tour guide had lot of experience and she helped me to go through it with love and care. We thank our both tour guides Gerbert and Olivia for being so passionate about the stories they shared, for taking care of us and for showing us Arequipa and their beautiful places. C C: We booked our 2 days/1 night Colca Tour and transfer to Puno with Giardino Tours. Since we had our accommodation in the Colca valley already booked and wanted to transfer to Puno not directly but after some days the schedule of the tour had to be adjusted. Adela took care of everything and was checking on us frequently via our tour guide or directly via WhatsApp. We were told the names of our tour guides/taxidrivers and the pick-up times in advance and never got forgotten or were late.Giardino Tours has some companies they work with, so we did the Colca canyon tour with Colonial Tours (which was great!) (maybe it is cheaper if you book directly with them), and the transfer to Puno with another company ( forgot the name, but it was okay, since the tour guide wasn't that good and we had some delay arriving in Puno).Although the prices are higher if you compare them to the prices you can get in the city centre of Arequipa for the same tour we chose Giardino Tours because they seemed to be more professional (they have a proper office instead of being located in some tourist shop) and only had good reviews comparing to other tour operators. Since we booked the Colca tour plus the transfer we got some discount on the final price. Summarising it was a good experience and we would recommend to book with this tour operator being aware that you are paying a higher price than in other places.

Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.

Arkaixo: The worst tour company I have found in Peru. We agreed to make the visit in Spanish, we started with the group in English. Supposedly the guide would arrive in the language that we had been told. Finally we did not do the tour in our language and the tour from my point of view left a lot to be desired.Bad experience that made me lose much of the time I had to enjoy this city. I don't like my time being played with and this tour company did just that.Not recommendable!!!
Justus: Wir haben die Tour um 12:15 gemacht. Treffpunkt am Plaza San Fransico. Die Wege waren alternativ und schön. Unser Guide sprach leider wirklich nur sehr gebrochenes Englisch. Wir konnten ihn leider nur kaum folgen. Man war teilweise völlig verwirrt, was er einem erzählen will. Zwischendrin empfiehlt er dann noch, wie auf dem Foto zu sehen, irgendeine Agentur für Touren und macht generell einen eher zerstreuten Eindruck. Würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen und nicht nochmal machen. Verstehe die positiven Bewertungen nicht.

Juankar Delba: With the illusion of touring a city as beautiful as Arequipa and being told its history, we signed up for the tour on August 20, 2022. It would be bad luck, I suppose, but we were guided by the worst guide that we have had in the 20 days What we have been through in Peru. Uninteresting route not subject to what was advertised on the web, inappropriate comments without coming to the point, and without waiting for the whole group to explain things. To such an extent, that he lost us halfway through the visit. At the exit of a terrace where we watched the sunset, when we arrived at the square, the group had disappeared, leaving us without finishing the tour. Bad guide. Bad route. Bad experience.

I had not thought that I am going to know so many things about Arequipa the same day of my arrival but that's the way it is. We went through the oldest neighborhoods, we tried typical Arequipa things like coffee, ice cream cheese and chicha and we learned a lot about the history of Arequipa. Noel Jensen: My wife and I both had massages there earlier this week. The therapist was awesome. I had a 60 minute Swedish massage, and my wife had the deep tissue (focused) on back and shoulders. We were both extremely pleased with the service and would definitely recommend the place. The location is convenient to the Plaza De Armas. The price for each was less than $20 American.

kisology: мы брали трехдневный тур в каньон Колка и на вершину Чачани с личным гидом. В первый день на каньоне Колка мы позавтракали в 7 утра, закончили наш трек в час дня и потом два часа просто сидели на дороге и ждали автобус! Почему нельзя было организовать машину при стоимости тура в почти 700$ не понятно. Нас предлагали подвезти за небольшую плату, но гид отказывался и в итоге мы потеряли пол-дня. По плану у нас были термальные источники, но в городе мы оказались только в 16:30, все это время не было ни еды, ни даже перекуса!!! Конечно, уставшие и обгоревшие от сидения 2 часа на дороге мы побежали есть, так и не посмотрев город и источники. На след день гид сказал, что наш автобус в 9, но оказалось он ушел по расписанию в 8:30 и мы опять просто ждали автобус. Затем был обед - кусок сухого хлеба с тонкой колбаской и помидоркой, и все! Конда машина привезла нас на 5000м гид несколько раз проговорил, что машина будет ждать нас на этой высоте. Мы поднялись на 5200, мне сразу стало нехорошо, но гид не делал ничего. Сказал только выпить обезболивающее, если у меня есть. Ночью стало плохо моему парню, мы не смогли пойти на вершину, гид сказал, что надо дождаться рассвета. Сам спокойно вернулся в палатку и храпел до утра. Утром мы кое-как собрали наши вещи и пошли вниз. Оказалось, что машина нас там не ждет и у гида не ловит телефон, он никак не может вызвать машину! А если бы что еще более серьезное случилось?! Как можно так организовывать тур?! К счастью, мы встретили другого гида, она вызвала нам машину и прождав еще час, нас, наконец, эвакуировали. Моему парню было очень плохо, я чувствовала себя нормально. Наш ужин был в 6 вечера, всю ночь мы не спали, и утром тоже. Но когда я сказала гиду утром, что хочу есть - единственное, что он мне предложил - немного орехов. Я не рекомендую эту фирму для организации ваших туров, в перу много других достойных операторов. Это неоправданно дорого, но еще и опасно для жизни!

They knew that we were in emergency and wanted to leave the country but they didn't make use of that to ask more money. No surprises on arrival!The adventure began in 2019 with the reservation for autumn 2020... as the coronavirus arrived, the postponement to 2021 or even 2022 was immediately proposed by Saul Ceron, the director of the agency. Peru only reopened its borders in mid-2021 and Saul advised us not to rush... the postponement to 2022 was very good advice!The day before the first tour allows us to take stock with the staff. We also met Saul who offered us some modifications. Emily Zhang: Great tour company! We did the Isla Ballesta and Huachina tour. Our tour guide ROSE was amazing! Rose and the tour company made everything super convenient and easy for us. For example, they picked us up from our hotel on time and took care of our luggage by keeping it in the car. We were dropped off with Rose to Isla Ballesta, and she handled the tickets for the boat ride. The boat tour was incredible and had English translation too! We saw many sea lions and penguins which was amazing. Ride was def windy so bring a jacket (November is when we went).Once we got back to main land, we went to Huachina. Rose was extremely knowledgable and give us a great backstory of the area. Rose was with us the whole time. We did the sand dune ride and the driver was AWESOME. The best sand dune ride of my life, the driver took many exciting and fun paths that made the ride extremely thrilling. Best part Rose came with us which was nice. Our driver also stopped at a nice top spot to watch the sunset which was not in the scheduled plan, which made the experience more authentic and genuine.Overall, my family and I had a great experience with this tour company and Rose is the best! Highly recommend.

Ivan Dillinger: On Thursday 23rd of January 2020 we had absolutely amazing tour COMPLETE EXCURSION TO RESERVA NACIONAL DE AGUADA BLANCA Y LAGUNA Salinas.Prior the tour I contacted Peru adventures via email. All communication was clear and good organized.We had pick up at our hotel at 6:15 am on Thursday 23rd of January. Our driver Saul Ceron and our guide Salome Gomez were waiting for us with comfortable 4x4 suv Toyota.We departed shortly after and head to national reservation. Our first stop was in small village Chiguata with beautiful church and square.After approx 2 hours we arrived to laguna Salinas. Amazing view and short trek for 1 hour around. Trek was quite challenging because of hight altitude. Our guide Salome adjusted to us. She is very attentive and she helped us with high altitude sickness. She offered us some cocca leaves and explained how them work and how we should chew them. She gave us excellent information about nature and history. As well we get to know plant Chachacoma which helped a lot.Later on we continued to rock forest of Puruña. On the way we saw plenty of lamas and alpacas. We were lucky to see Vicuñas.When we arrived, we had a snack - chocolate, banana and orange. To gain some energy. Rock forest offered astonishing views. This place is a hidden gem. We were also lucky to see El Misti mountain when clouds shattered.Followed by a lunch in small restaurant. Lunch and drinks were include with selections of many sandwiches and soft drinks.I have to say that our guide Salome is absolutely amazing. Far above expectations. She is very funny, attentive, carrying and super knowledgeable. She told us some much about Peruvian nature and culture. She took pictures of us on various viewpoints. She encouraged us on treks and had plenty of useful tips to help us with high altitude. It was genuine pleasure to spend time with her.Our driver Saul was great as well. Funny and professional. We felt very save when he was driving on bumpy roads. He definitely knows how to handle difficult roads and we enjoyed magnificent views on the way.Thank you Salome and Saul for this experience. H. Stephen Olson: Saul Ceron in Arequipa is a very poor communicator and unprofessional booking agent. Didn't return emails, did not respond to questions and on the last day before my tour was supposed to happen I was told by the agency the tour would not happen. I walked to the office 3 times in 3 days and was disappointed at every interaction. I would recommend not using this company and instead working with the smaller more genuine agencies around the town.

Johan was thoughtful and knowledgeable, always checking in to see how we were doing and sharing with us information about Misti and the area. Simran Afsah: I do not recommend Peru Adventure Tours. We went in to schedule a mountain bike excursion with the agency and we were told (and confirmed by their website) that the tour would include an hour and a half ride up the mountain and 3 hours on the bike. Additionally, were guaranteed an english speaking guide. In the end, we ended up spending 1.5 hours in the car, as expected, but only 1.5 hours on the bike. Also, the guide did not speak English and even told me that at one point he could speak english conversationally, but now he cannot (I speak Spanish so i could understand all this, but my partner does not and this proved to be a difficulty.) Lastly, the guide provided no information during the tour-- he didn't tell us where we were going, how long we would be on the bikes, or anything about the surroundings--instead, he kept talking to me about his girlfriends... We requested a refund from the shop and we were given a small percentage of our money back after significant hassle. Overall, this was a bad experience!
