PATTY CH.A.: It is a mystical and very beautiful place. Our Peru 100pre has something that surprises us.I recommend that you go and remember that every day we learn something 100pre.
Ornella: Da vedere assolutamente. Oltre alla Vergine, molti manufatti perfettamente conservati.Ottima guida.

Neshama Rakofsky: Definitely recommend this tour. We did the tour in English with a fantastic guide named Maria. Super interesting artifacts and the stories are just incredible. Maria was so knowledgeable and welcoming of questions, she is so passionate about the information it's more like listening to a story than to a guided museum tour. The whole thing only takes about 45 mins. I'm not generally a tour OR museum person, but I actually enjoyed this. Great experience
MarĂa Luz MarĂn: I loved the detailed and precise information from the guide. We learned a lot about child sacrifice in ancient Peru and the circumstances in which Juanita was found. A recommendation, the place is kept cold to preserve the archaeological remains and even more so in the section where Juanita is. Bring something to cover yourself with. It is forbidden to take photos or record videos inside the exhibition halls.
Gomez Addams: Only let you enter if you sign up for a guided tour which I was uninterested in. For such a small museum it hardly seems necessary. So, no, Iâll pass.
MarĂa BelĂ©n Chipana: Excellent! 5 national soles, over five years old pay 3 soles for the entrance and voluntary tip to the guide. Everything on display is original and we were lucky to see the Juanita mummy. Can't take photos
mahdy faiz: The museum is small but have one mummy and only few things worth seeing. However, you can only visit with a guide (additional fee on top of the 25 sol entrance). The guided tour feels rushed and you cannot always hear the guide well enough. Not worth the time nor money
Luke Costa: A lot of negative reviews on here regarding the cost etc which almost made us not go. However, we are glad we did.Firstly, the reason it's cheaper for Peruvians is because it's their heritage, and its only right that its cheaper for them.Secondly, we were sceptical about the guide, however it really enhanced the experience. They covered all the areas of information that were written around artefacts and also gave additional info. The tip is at your discretion as well.Would 100% recommend, incredibly interesting and informative.
Pascal Burgard: Expensive relative to the wealth of information provided. I really expected to learn much more in this museum.
Mark Webster: Really disappointing. As mentioned in other reviews itâs compulsory to have a guided tour. When we arrived and were told this we politely asked if we could go around without a guide. The man in the desk immediately ignored us and started talking to another couple behind us. Incredibly rude. Half the tour is a 20min video with terrible sound quality. The guided tour was rushed and ruined the experience.Note that the museum is sponsored by the Catholic university and is therefore biased. We recommend doing some Quechua guided tours to get the real local history before attending.
Randall Marx: Great place to visit if you have interest in archaeology or Incan culture. They offer tours in English and SpanishVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No âŠMore
Edwin Aparicio: Visit the mummy Juanita
Juan Carlos Medina: Nice museum of the Santa MarĂa Catholic University, small but very interesting, the museum staff is super attentive and helpful, the guide is very charismatic and knowledgeable about the subject. Seeing the lady of Ampato is an incredible experience, it is worth the trip! The entrance for nationals is 5 soles. One block from the main square of Arequipa. Go on your visit to this beautiful city. Highly recommended!

Julio C. Martinez Colarossi: The most beautiful and largest cathedral in Arequipa. God bless everyone who reads this review.
Andreé Galdos Segura: Of an imposing architect
S B: Mooi uitzicht vanaf het dak. Jammer dat de gids op een dwingende toon extra fooi vroeg aan het eind.
Monica Rodriguez: It is a small museum with gold pieces and unique jewelry
Animated Physics: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended NoMore
Edith R Piñas Villalobos: Very good tour by Rodrigo, the cathedral is very beautiful, it houses pieces of great historical and religious value, the pelican made of silver, the organ and the bells.
Elizabeth Abregu: A very interesting museum, the cost is 10 soles, the tour is quite fast, the best thing is that you have access to the roof, the views from there are spectacular.
Marc Buckens: Very good guide
Sam: Great idea to do if you are in Arequipa.General overview:Center of the city. Gives you a view of the cathedral when itâs closed to the public. So less people.A tour around the museum looking at old religious bits. Fairly interestingThe history of the earthquake that meant they had to rebuild some of the church.Rooftop view of the city and the 3 volcanos.Practical bits:Cash only tickets 10sol per personAlso strong recommended that you pay the guide - others have said 5 sol. We have 5USD for two, as we did not have any sol at the time.(they make a bit of a point about saying they are not paid, and rely on tips)If you get a good guide, which we did, and just 4 of us in the group. Really good tour.Recommended even just for the roof top views!
Eder Kong: All very nice, the paintings the view of the square, the entrance fee of 10 soles does not include the guide, since it is supposedly voluntary, but in the end the guide charges you 10 soles per family.
David Yaka: Nice tour to the cathedral museum and very friendly guides
Williams Henry Rojas Holguin: Visited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended NoMore
Paulo BĂ©jar: The best to visit, it is worth the 10 soles. You can see quite a few religious pieces and the guides are super friendly...
zoraibert noriega: It is a mandatory stop when visiting the city of Arequipa. They charge the entrance, plus a mandatory tip of your choice that you must give to the tour guide at the end of the tour.It lasts approximately 45 minutes, and they give you time to take some photos during the tour, except in two rooms where it is prohibited. The cathedral is very beautiful and the guide seemed prepared, they give details of both the architecture and the liturgical objects and their history. At the end you have an open view of the historical center of the city, and the square from the roof of the cathedral.
ClauDia FernanDa: Beautiful and imposing cathedral, the guides are very friendly, they have knowledge of languages ââfor foreigners. Tours end at 4:15 pm, tours can last up to 40 minutes.
Magdalena Abarca: The place is wonderful, but it could have many more and better explanations in case you don't go with a guide.
Adeodato sisnepiuqera: It's great and at a good price... It's a must
Yorman Quiroz: Excellent architectural design and can also be visited at any time of the year and everything is safe.
Julioh Delgadoz: Recommended, visit the museum of the cathedral of the white city, Arequipa
SebastiĂĄn NarvĂĄez: Very good experience to learn about the Minor Basilica of Arequipa, the guide was well trained to explain each part of the temple and the museum in detail. The best of all is that you can visit the upper part of the temple obtaining a wonderful view of the Plaza Mayor and part of the White City, on the other hand, the cost of the entrance ticket does not include the payment of the guide, so at At the end of the tour you should be given a voluntary tip that will make us value and appreciate your work.
Thomas B: Nice tour guide. 10s entry then you should tip the guide. Annoying structure but beautiful views from top and interesting collection of pieces

YANETH PINTO: Very organized and above all, share a moment with the family.
Stefany Bravo: IS CLOSED!! The museum no longer exists :(
Steven Danks: Really interesting with excellent descriptions of artifacts and history.
HernĂĄn Mandel: It is closed until indefinite time.
Laynes durand sanchez: This museum is closed for administrative reasons
Diana Silva Ruiz: It is a small museum but full of information and I was impressed with the objects that they have on display. The entrance is totally free and you can make donations at the exit to continue preserving the premises. I took some photos WITHOUT FLASH and I share them so you can see that it is interesting to walk around here, especially because it is Peruvian culture and it costs nothing đâ€ïž
Helen Perea: Small, with very good pieces.
David C: Interesting small museum. Very quiet, we were the only people in the building when we visited.
Ana Laura Huaraz Ortiz: The environment is adequate, the video presentation super useful. Worth a visit
James ZD: A very nice little museum!
luisaaa: The place is poorly maintained, they treated us very badly, the "guide" was very angry and wanted us to leave the place ... I do not recommend it
Nikolas Wood: Great little museum! For some reason it was free, not sure if it always is, but I left a donation in return. Tons of artifacts and mummies. Unfortunately not much english information but I really enjoyed walking through.
Deych: Interesting, a good place to learn some culture
Renato Fabricio Medina Quiroz: Very well maintained museum and seeing the mummy Juanita is surprising as well as all the archaeological material basically from the province of Arequipa a beautiful place to visit no photos allowed
Trine Lise Holm: It was cheaper than the museum where Juanita is, and they have three mummies even older than Inca. We got a great tour in Spanish.
Anthony âManthonyâ Velasquez Tineo: Good coin display.
Joel Ortiz: Small however very interesting the cost of entry is the will of each visitor
Eduardo Avalos - Grupo Vivargo SAC: good place to visit
Andres Valencia: It is only open until 3:00 pm, not until 5 as the website indicates
Allenby Caiña: It is a very neglected little university museum that gives a quick insight into the pre-Inca cultures located in Arequipa. Admission is free, although at the end of the visit you have the option to "donate" whatever you like for their "sustenance". The only security is a private guard and they have no guide. The presentations are based on some mummies, ceramic vessels and some other tools.
David Ka: Bien sans ĂȘtre extraordinaire

Karito Soto C.: Interesting place, it has a replica of the New York bull, incredible photos and above all the video and the history of Melenik is interesting.Contributions to this museum have helped build roads, schools and do social work for the residents. Very cute and good attention đ

Lady Tao: Nice little museum. It caters to the legend of a bull from the 40's that weighted 1,200 kilos and never lost a fight with other bulls. In Arequipa there is a tradition of bull confrontation, where there is no blood involved, just the loser runs away.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No âŠMore
Melissa Mendoza: What it offers does not correspond to the price of the ticket. I would not classify it as a museum, since there are only photos in one environment.

Luis Jesus Vaca Carranza: I loved above all his history of the bull Meneliy
Carlos Acuña: Museum dedicated to the Arequipa tradition, bullfighting.
Jancarlo Coaguila: Small museum of one of the most famous bulls in Arequipa, Menelik. You can take photos riding the Menelik replica that weighed more than 1,200 kilos.
Jean Carlo Villanueva G.: He went from charging 3 to 8 soles in one year. I think it's too expensive to just take pictures with a bronze bull and a fiber bull.
Gonzalo Laguna: To my taste it is of little relevance, even though it highlighted what its creator is passionate about
rocio flores: Wonderfully Fantastic!!Behind Menelik there is an Extraordinary History WORTHY of Imitating as an example for Humanity. Beautiful Earth White City!! Thanks for having us đâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâźïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž

AgustĂn LĂłpez Daneri: The hours are wrong, they say they close at 3:00 p.m., but if you go at 2:30 p.m. they don't serve you anymore
Ornella: Museo interattivo. Interamente in spagnolo, ma si capisce.
Cecilia Quiroz Dueñas: The house is beautiful, there are spaces that need maintenance, a paint touch-up. The visit is quite enjoyable with the videos and holograms. The free visit that I attended, poorly organized, they called us at 10 and it started almost at 11.One of the ladies in charge, I think she is regional government staff, complained about the number of people making us feel uncomfortable. These types of actions are out of place, if there is a problem and attention must be drawn, it must be done internally and not involve visitors or tourists.

Jose Corrales: 100% recommended đđœ
Victor Rivas: oh nice I recommend it, it is an inevitable place on your visit to Arequipa.
Miguel Pacheco: We went with my family to see the museum, when we arrived the doorman asked us where do they come from? I replied: from Lima, and he replied: oh then there is no service. we couldn't get in
Jorge Alberto Ocaña Diaz: A museum that I recommend.
Fanny Yuliana Chuquilin Castañeda: Awesome themed and interactive place with interesting and nostalgic information.
Mimi Amaru Illari: A museum that interacts with you. It is divided into several rooms that represent stages of the writer's life. The funny thing is that MVLL was born and lived in this house for only one year. In each room there is an audiovisual presentation accompanied by the interpretation of the guide, which was great. He explained everything to us in detail and clarity and with a lot of enthusiasm, which makes the visit even more pleasant. He took photos of us and encouraged us to interact with the space. The entrance costs 20 soles per person and from my own experience I can say that it is worth it. There you live a unique experience. I recommend it to each individual interested in the author, his life and work, but also to each one who wants to know more about Arequipa's history.
Pixelsoft José Montoya: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sureMore
Flavio Andre Garces Heredia: I would like to write a fuller review of the experience of going to the museum, but the terrible attitude of the reception of the museum was enough to convince me not to invest my time in learning more about one of my favorite authors.
Erita Mostacero: Excellent representation of the life of Mario Vargas Llosa.
Mildred Gallegos: Interactive museum, the setting and the stories transport you to each of the stages of Mario Vargas Llosa's life... the entire tour with the explanations lasts a little over an hour... I loved being able to take time to visit it . Entry costs/20
Lucina VĂĄquez Miranda: It's wonderful ooooo I wish I had more support from the government. It is unmissable.
