RAFAEL GARCÍA-GODOS SALAZAR: Good bookcase, comfortable and tidy. Variety of books from local publishers.
Richard Gomez: There are always things to improve, but it is still one of my favorite places in Arequipa.🏆
Gustavo Gamero: Without a doubt, it is the best bookstore in Arequipa. There is no way to compare it with the crucible, íbero and other similar chains. They have editions that no other bookstore in the city has. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. Classical music is very good. And the lady who serves is very friendly. I can definitely only recommend it.
LI7: Excellente
Guillermo Canazas Enriquez: Somewhat expensive prices but unusual books
Diana León: Great books and editions. Though, it's expensive in comparison to other bookstores.
Proyecto Supay Wasi: Excellent everything in books of archeology and history of Peru
Oscar Choque: It has very good books and especially from well-known publishers. I recommend the area of philosophy and universal literature. 9/10
Vero Rv (Its.veriux): Good, good books, neat, nice atmosphere
daniel andres garcia flores: It is a bookstore with a very pleasant atmosphere where you can find books on both literature and history of Peru and in general Social Sciences
Isbet Monroy: Nice book store where different books are found.
Franco André Sáenz: Great bookstore, in addition to being varied, it has unique copies compared to others
Edgar Galue: Excellent place where you can find a wide variety of books...
Alejandro Torres Negrón: The best bookstore in Arequipa. His books are worth every penny.
Geraldine Rojas Loyola: very stocked
Gonzalo Gamarra García: Good titles, nice atmosphere
Ciudad Poética Florentino Díaz: the best bookstore in Arequipa
Bruno Cáceres Salas: It is always a pleasure to visit The Reader
Miluska Victoria Cabrera Diaz: Very neat place, clean, good attention! And above all with a variety of books
Enrique Ramirez: excellent titles
ERIC DARYL LLERENA SILVA: I am sorry that I did not find any fantasy novel for young people, I am sorry that the only way to make reading interesting, they kill it with this site is dedicated to people who are already older and manage the habit of reading. The good thing is that they have second-use books, I liked that.

Klasse!

The buildings, paintings and objects are of high historical value, pride for the Arequipeños and Peruvians who have visited

Ornella: Molto suggestivo.
Daniela Diazgranados Ortiz: Beautiful place full of stories and culture, the only bad thing was that a guide was not very friendly, so we decided to do the tour without a guide
Senna: A great way to spend a few hours of your day, and an absolute recommendation for Antigua. The monastery is very big, and there are signs in almost every room explaining the significance of certain tools/spaces in English and Spanish. I would say you won't necessarily need a tour if you search for the info signs. The colours are lovely, and it's just beautiful all around. Perfect place to learn some history.Only downside were the prices, they are quite high at 45PEN for an adult.

PATTY CH.A.: It is a mystical and very beautiful place. Our Peru 100pre has something that surprises us.I recommend that you go and remember that every day we learn something 100pre.
Ornella: Da vedere assolutamente. Oltre alla Vergine, molti manufatti perfettamente conservati.Ottima guida.

Neshama Rakofsky: Definitely recommend this tour. We did the tour in English with a fantastic guide named Maria. Super interesting artifacts and the stories are just incredible. Maria was so knowledgeable and welcoming of questions, she is so passionate about the information it's more like listening to a story than to a guided museum tour. The whole thing only takes about 45 mins. I'm not generally a tour OR museum person, but I actually enjoyed this. Great experience
María Luz Marín: I loved the detailed and precise information from the guide. We learned a lot about child sacrifice in ancient Peru and the circumstances in which Juanita was found. A recommendation, the place is kept cold to preserve the archaeological remains and even more so in the section where Juanita is. Bring something to cover yourself with. It is forbidden to take photos or record videos inside the exhibition halls.
Gomez Addams: Only let you enter if you sign up for a guided tour which I was uninterested in. For such a small museum it hardly seems necessary. So, no, I’ll pass.
María Belén Chipana: Excellent! 5 national soles, over five years old pay 3 soles for the entrance and voluntary tip to the guide. Everything on display is original and we were lucky to see the Juanita mummy. Can't take photos
mahdy faiz: The museum is small but have one mummy and only few things worth seeing. However, you can only visit with a guide (additional fee on top of the 25 sol entrance). The guided tour feels rushed and you cannot always hear the guide well enough. Not worth the time nor money
Luke Costa: A lot of negative reviews on here regarding the cost etc which almost made us not go. However, we are glad we did.Firstly, the reason it's cheaper for Peruvians is because it's their heritage, and its only right that its cheaper for them.Secondly, we were sceptical about the guide, however it really enhanced the experience. They covered all the areas of information that were written around artefacts and also gave additional info. The tip is at your discretion as well.Would 100% recommend, incredibly interesting and informative.
Pascal Burgard: Expensive relative to the wealth of information provided. I really expected to learn much more in this museum.
Mark Webster: Really disappointing. As mentioned in other reviews it’s compulsory to have a guided tour. When we arrived and were told this we politely asked if we could go around without a guide. The man in the desk immediately ignored us and started talking to another couple behind us. Incredibly rude. Half the tour is a 20min video with terrible sound quality. The guided tour was rushed and ruined the experience.Note that the museum is sponsored by the Catholic university and is therefore biased. We recommend doing some Quechua guided tours to get the real local history before attending.
Randall Marx: Great place to visit if you have interest in archaeology or Incan culture. They offer tours in English and SpanishVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Edwin Aparicio: Visit the mummy Juanita
Juan Carlos Medina: Nice museum of the Santa María Catholic University, small but very interesting, the museum staff is super attentive and helpful, the guide is very charismatic and knowledgeable about the subject. Seeing the lady of Ampato is an incredible experience, it is worth the trip! The entrance for nationals is 5 soles. One block from the main square of Arequipa. Go on your visit to this beautiful city. Highly recommended!

Agustín López Daneri: The hours are wrong, they say they close at 3:00 p.m., but if you go at 2:30 p.m. they don't serve you anymore
Ornella: Museo interattivo. Interamente in spagnolo, ma si capisce.
Cecilia Quiroz Dueñas: The house is beautiful, there are spaces that need maintenance, a paint touch-up. The visit is quite enjoyable with the videos and holograms. The free visit that I attended, poorly organized, they called us at 10 and it started almost at 11.One of the ladies in charge, I think she is regional government staff, complained about the number of people making us feel uncomfortable. These types of actions are out of place, if there is a problem and attention must be drawn, it must be done internally and not involve visitors or tourists.

Jose Corrales: 100% recommended 👍🏽
Victor Rivas: oh nice I recommend it, it is an inevitable place on your visit to Arequipa.
Miguel Pacheco: We went with my family to see the museum, when we arrived the doorman asked us where do they come from? I replied: from Lima, and he replied: oh then there is no service. we couldn't get in
Jorge Alberto Ocaña Diaz: A museum that I recommend.
Fanny Yuliana Chuquilin Castañeda: Awesome themed and interactive place with interesting and nostalgic information.
Mimi Amaru Illari: A museum that interacts with you. It is divided into several rooms that represent stages of the writer's life. The funny thing is that MVLL was born and lived in this house for only one year. In each room there is an audiovisual presentation accompanied by the interpretation of the guide, which was great. He explained everything to us in detail and clarity and with a lot of enthusiasm, which makes the visit even more pleasant. He took photos of us and encouraged us to interact with the space. The entrance costs 20 soles per person and from my own experience I can say that it is worth it. There you live a unique experience. I recommend it to each individual interested in the author, his life and work, but also to each one who wants to know more about Arequipa's history.
Pixelsoft José Montoya: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sureMore
Flavio Andre Garces Heredia: I would like to write a fuller review of the experience of going to the museum, but the terrible attitude of the reception of the museum was enough to convince me not to invest my time in learning more about one of my favorite authors.
Erita Mostacero: Excellent representation of the life of Mario Vargas Llosa.
Mildred Gallegos: Interactive museum, the setting and the stories transport you to each of the stages of Mario Vargas Llosa's life... the entire tour with the explanations lasts a little over an hour... I loved being able to take time to visit it . Entry costs/20
Lucina Váquez Miranda: It's wonderful ooooo I wish I had more support from the government. It is unmissable.

CIRQA - Relais & Châteaux: what do users think?
Federico Martin Botta Aramburu: I loved the stay and the hotel seems excellent. I think they have a very good service, attention to detail and not to mention the gastronomy. I congratulate you for the great work you do daily! Today, more than ever after the pandemic, good service in hotels is noticeable.
Sharon Telesca Feurer: A thoughtful reimagining of a 1540 monastery, honoring its historic UNESCO protected site with contemporary touches. The decor is sublime. The staff, warm and welcoming. It is a respite in Arequipa a block or so from the center square.
The Best place in town !
Santiago Le Jeune: Fantastic stay at CIRQA, beautiful hotel a block away from the main square. The service was impeccable and the restaurant serves some of the best food in Arequipa in a secluded setting. Highly recommend the smoked trout for breakfast!
Alejandro Rodriguez: Brilliant architecture, great food and exceptional service!!!
Mikołaj Valencia: Restaurant - Charming place for a romantic supper or just wine. Nice food but way less charming than the place. Expensive wine selection. Nice and careful staff. Mixed feelings at the end.
Jia Jin Low: I knew it was going to be a great stay from the moment we were greeted at the airport. The driver handed us cold towels to cool off, and proceeded to fish out two bottles of cold mineral water for the short car ride to the hotel. The design of the hotel was beautiful as well. Architecturally, this is probably the most stunning hotel in Arequipa. The parador has a real sense of place, and there’s no mistaking which city you’re staying in when cooling off in the courtyard, surrounded by white walls. The only niggle was that the pool was really awkward — too small to properly swim in, it was like a plunge pool but out in public for all to see. Well, that and the fact that there’s no mechanised way to close the light vents on the ceiling of the room. There’s a generosity and attention to detail in the service that mark this as a true luxury hotel. Snacks and drinks were readily given when hanging out at the rooftop bar. Preferences for still/sparkling water were remembered. After checking out, they realised that we had left one pair of pants behind, and instantly sent a taxi driver to the airport to hand us that one pair of pants. We were safely reunited 🙂. My only service nitpick was that there was once where we were on the rooftop bar, but no one was there for 10mins. But it wasn’t a big issue, I helped myself to cookies.Overall, Cirqa was a good value considering what was provided, despite being the most expensive hotel in town. It’ll be my choice if I return to Arequipa.

Magali Rodriguez: Beautiful experience and very cozy luxury place.
Robert Yost: Incredible boutique hotel. Amazing staff and superior meals. Highly recommend!
Miquel Ramis Munar: The hotel is located in a former convent in the city of Arequipa. The hotel preserves its white volcanic stone block walls and integrates modern touches without breaking with tradition. The hotel is associated with Relais & Chateu and meets expectations. The service is excellent, to highlight the waitress Alejandra. The hotel restaurant is also very good. The location is unbeatable, very close to the city's main square.
fernando ramiro aragon: Nice and cozy atmosphereRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Earth Explorer: Our stay at Cirqa was nice for sightseeing and having a cocktail there but definitely not for spending the night. A reasonable opinion from someone who travels a lot:The old monastery is an idyllic place but bad for your health in terms of rooms. The humid rooms spread a moldy air that hits your lungs. After contacting the manager, he was able to tell that this problem has been known from the beginning of the hotel's existence. Reason would be because they are old foundations. As long as this problem is not solved the customers are stuck with the misery and they not only pay a lot of money but also pay with their health. After 3 nights we felt so bad that we wanted to go somewhere else. Too bad business is more important than health because the hotel did not allow us to cancel the last 4th night. Cirqa wanted us to believe it was because of the altitude. We then went to a Belmond Hotel in Colca Canyon and after 1 night the difference was already positive even though Colca Canyon is higher! The restaurant is particularly noisy because the adjacent Church has some kind of fan that makes an immense noise non-stop.Furthermore, it has no spa.The masseurs are hired amateurs who clearly have no expertise. They are sweet but that's about it. Massaging on the bones is never okay. The pool unfortunately had a maintenance during our stay. But did look nice.Breakfast is limited and only until 9am. With much effort they wanted to stay open until 9:30.Electricity in the suite number 1 did not always work well. Some switches gave a short circuit, one time the lights worked, the other time not. Maybe the humidity had something to do with it too?Mirella at the reception is a rude lady who felt personally attacked and went to justify herself. Which was funny on the one hand but very inappropriate and amateurish. At first she didn't even want to give the contact details of her superior. Through another channel I did manage to receive it.The manager, Tias Rvas, was also of no use as she was hiding behind the policy of the hotel. Her solution was to give us European tourists a voucher within a month. As if we would return so soon. A false solution in other words. To end on a positive note, the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The hotel is a gem in photographs, good for on instagram. Hence, it is nice to have a drink there but that's about it.Best regards
Alonso del Carpio: Its luxury facilities show the typical architecture of the white city, with elements such as ashlar, stone floors, wood and iron details and furniture...a cozy atmosphere, highly recommended for a romantic dinner. Its menu is somewhat reduced but its flavor is exquisite and its presentation is very good, its prices for drinks are somewhat high, but they taste good, and with quality ingredients. The attention is very good, you will feel that they enjoy helping you with whatever you need, be encouraged to visit it.Safety: La puerta está normalmente cerrada y la calle no es muy segura por el tráfico y la ubicación, deberían tener la puerta abierta o el vigilante debería estar fuera para tranquilidad de quienes llegan al hotel.
Violeta Chavez Leon: Excellent finishes, good service and good location 👍
Xavier Danaux: My wife and I wanted to stay at Cirqa while visiting Arequipa, but we were advised by friends who had stayed that the hotel wasn't as nice as the pictures made it look like. As there was lots of availability at Cirqa and elsewhere (we were travelling in low season), we showed up and asked to see the rooms before making our mind. The front staff refused to let us see the rooms, and instead tried to have us confirm and pay for a booking on the spot without seeing them. Something was clearly fishy, and needless to say we happily stayed somewhere else!

Emanuele Militello: My favourite restaurant in Arequipa. I normally don't choose vegetarian sushi, but this place does some of the best sushi I've ever had (so much so I went twice). It's also really well priced. I'd recommend going for the nigiris and gunkan with the makis, and trying the ceviche which is a get vegan take on a classic. The courtyard is also really cool and representative of the city's architecture.
Dommage

AlexanderPAULA YanezGASCA: Excellent concept and quality of food. A different menu in makis with delicious and healthy flavors. Dessert in chocolate, apple and banana makis or rolls was a revelation. I recommend them.
